Helen Malcolm's story

Homecoming Scotland 2009 is a wonderful opportunity for Scots the world over to come home and experience all that is great in this country. I, personally, hope to welcome many guests from all over the world in my B&B and give them a taste of Burns while here. I operate Sunnyside Bed and Breakfast just under one mile from Burns Cottage. We serve a Full Taste of Burns Breakfast daily, display Burns and Scottish artefacts in Dining Room and Burns music played in background.

Gordon McDonald's story

In order to celebrate Homecoming and the 120th anniversary of the Category B Listed house where I live in Ayrshire, an event will be hosted at home later in the year for around 70 invited guests. The event will comprise music, recitals and dancing and will also be an opportunity for invited guests to see the magnificent Robert Burns stained glass window the recent restoration of which has been carried out with financial assistance from East Ayrshire Council and Historic Scotland.
